Does the Sun Shine Year Round in Florida?
Yes, of course it does. At certain times of year, it shines so well it hurts! In general, outdoor weddings, particularly beach weddings, can be conducted year-round. There will be variations in temperature at different times of the year, but it can easily be done. Our Weather Guide for Florida Beach Weddings will help you navigate the differences between the various seasons throughout the year to better help plan your Florida Beach Wedding.
Springtime Beach Weddings
Spring weather can easily be considered the most desirable time of the year for a South Florida Beach Wedding. Though there are slight differences in temperature from Cocoa Beach to Jupiter, down to Fort Lauderdale and Miami, it is still pretty close. From March through May, the average is low in the mid to high 70s. And the high temperatures are roughly in the low to mid-80s. These are midday temperatures. Typically, our weddings will be held in the evening, as the sun is lower on the horizon. Thus, the temperature will be much cooler.
Another benefit of these cooler temperatures, along with the longer days, is that we change the clocks for Daylight Saving. So, with a later sunset, it will be cooler on the beach. Along with being later, this is so much better for privacy for a beach wedding. As the day progresses, far fewer beachgoers hang out on the beach. So, the setting will be so much better. And, the photos won’t have all the beach riffraff in the background.
The most significant advantage is that summer’s not yet, and the average daily rainfall is still low. So, less chance of rain is always better when using our Weather Guide for Florida Beach Wedding when planning your big day!
Is Spring Break a concern for Florida Beaches?
Yes, it is. There are many beaches throughout South Florida that will see a massive uptick in beachgoers and toursits during the traditional Spring Breaks for colleges and universities. Please do not be alaramed. We will guide you and keep you informed about which beaches should and should not be used for a beach wedding. So, do not worry, we can help you navigate aournd the craziness and still plan your private, intimate South Florida Beach Wedding!
Summertime Beach Weddings
Summer, Summer, Summertime! Yes, this is the time of year when the beaches are packed almost on a daily basis. But, especially on weekends. It is also the onset of the rainy season in Florida. But, let’s not get scared away so soon. Yes, it is no secret that it will rain regularly during the summer months. However, we can absolutely work around these situatioins. So, let’s dive into what Summer Beach Weddings in Flroida are like.
It is hot, it is hot, it is hot in the summer. This is not new news. During the summer, it is hot on the beach. The best way to avoid the peak heat, have a morning ceremony or have your ceremony later in the evening.
How to Work Around the Rain Showers for a Summer Beach Wedding
The key is to have sound plans for the ceremony on the beach and as always, having a back up plan. We do our absolute best to wrok around the possibility of rain during the wet months. It is going to rain somehwere, there is just not detailing where it will exactly rain. We always hope for the winds to be blwoing onshore, which generally will keep the interior moisture from creepign toward the coast. This will keep the rain inland and leave our beauitful beach weddings alone.
But, if that isn’t going to happen, the first and best option, is always having a backup location.
Not all guests have a back up location. So, we can step in and help navigate around this. As prevously stated, it is our intention to do all we can to provide you with your dream beach wedding. Without a backup loation, our first move is to work around the rain. This means we can either move the ceremony time up a little or maybe push it back. This usully allows us to have the wedding with a little time adjsutment.
If mvoing the time up or back isn’t an option, we can alwys move the ceremony to the mrong, if all vendors ahve availability. Or, we can possibly push the wedding to the next day. These are the most extreme cases, when we have to move the date. Theses circumstances, such as hurricanes and major storms, would require us to have to move indoors or postpone. In the case of a postponement, we will absolutly honor all money paid to us. The only excepetion might be having to pay for new flowers if the flowers were purchased and used for the proposed event.
All in all, the summer is a great time of year for a beach wedding!
